This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") defines the boundaries of acceptable behavior when using the QounterPay platform. This policy exists to protect all users, maintain service quality, and ensure legal compliance.
1. General Principles
You agree to use QounterPay responsibly, ethically, and in compliance with all applicable laws. The platform is designed for legitimate point-of-sale, inventory management, and business operations.
2. Prohibited Activities
You may not use the Service to:
2.1 Illegal Activities
- Conduct or facilitate any illegal business operations
- Process transactions for prohibited goods or services under applicable law
- Evade taxes or facilitate money laundering
- Violate export control or sanctions regulations
2.2 Harmful or Abusive Behavior
- Harass, threaten, or discriminate against any person
- Impersonate another person or entity
- Create fraudulent accounts or misrepresent your identity
- Submit false, misleading, or deceptive information
2.3 Technical Abuse
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or data
- Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service without authorization
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service infrastructure
- Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access the Service beyond normal API usage
- Bypass any rate limiting, access controls, or security measures
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
2.4 Resource Abuse
- Upload excessively large files intended to exhaust storage quotas
- Generate artificial transaction volume to manipulate analytics
- Use the Service in a manner that degrades performance for other users
- Create multiple free accounts to circumvent plan limitations
2.5 Content Restrictions
- Upload malware, viruses, or malicious code
- Store content that infringes intellectual property rights of third parties
- Use the platform to distribute spam or unsolicited communications
3. Fair Use Limits
To maintain service quality for all users:
- API requests are subject to rate limiting (documented in our API reference)
- File uploads are limited to sizes specified in your plan
- Bulk data operations should be performed during off-peak hours when possible
- Automated integrations should implement exponential backoff on errors
4. Security Responsibilities
As a user, you are responsible for:
- Using strong, unique passwords for your account
- Enabling available security features (session timeouts, role-based access)

- Keeping your account credentials confidential
- Managing employee access and removing accounts when staff leave
5. Reporting Violations
If you become aware of any violation of this AUP, report it to:

Include relevant details such as timestamps, affected accounts, and evidence of the violation.
6. Enforcement
6.1. Investigation. We may investigate suspected violations using system logs and other available information.
6.2. Actions. Depending on the severity, we may:
- Issue a warning with a request to remedy the violation
- Temporarily suspend account access
- Permanently terminate the account
- Report the activity to law enforcement

7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this AUP to address new threats or clarify existing rules. Material changes will be communicated through the platform's policy update mechanism.
